Because of people like you, we raised $58,000 in the last couple months of 2018. With your support, we will create curriculum for kids that will teach students critical friendship skills, promote existing Christian based activity, and create space for authentic connections in places of division.
Today we are asking for your financial partnership so we can continue to make a small but significant difference in the Christian community and in the lives of the next generation.
Will you put JOI at the top of your giving list?
100% of what you give will support the expansion of these programs in 2019:
Volume One is published and beginning to roll-out in private Christian and Catholic schools for elementary aged boys and girls!
Childhood relationship trauma and bullying have a lasting negative impact, including depression, difficulty with relationships, and an increased likelihood of substance abuse. Equipping students with God’s design for friendship has a powerful and lasting impact on the next generation. When kids learn friendship, they learn it for life.
In 2019, funds will support the creation of Volume Two curriculum ($30,000 expense) AND a public school version (also a $30,000 expense).
The JOI HUB highlights and promotes a broad range of activity. Because of technology we are the most connected generation ever, but also the most socially disconnected generation. Research by Barna noted that both Millennials and older adults are isolated by personal technology, but they crave real life, face-to-face connections. Research also suggests a solution to building relationships is through opportunities for people to connect around shared interests.
In 2019, funds will support promoting and sharing a wide-range of Christian activity ($20,000 expense).
Launched May 2018 creating space to unify people through effective conversations, presented by diverse voices, alongside strategic, collaborative and influential partnerships. The church remains the most divided space in our nation. But, what if we modeled unity in a divided world? Through One Body United events, we have an opportunity to participate in making significant and lasting change. Unity is God’s idea.
In 2019, funds will support ongoing efforts through the expansion of One Body United events ($25,000 expense).
